As a child before I learnt the realities of life I had two dream jobs when I grew up. Being a fighter pilot or a racing driver. The former I’ll blame on Top Gun and was always a bit unrealistic.
The latter came more than likely from many enjoyable Sunday afternoons watching the F1 on tv with my dad. With the occasional visit to Brands Hatch to watch all sorts of racing. By the time I actually had to get a career neither were likely to happen so I ended up going into software development. The closest I thought I would ever get to racing would be an evening on the xbox.
In 2017 I was fortunate enough to live a childhood dream and take part in the Caterham Academy Championship. Where I did reasonably well and ended up 5 out of the 27 novice drivers. Since then I have carried on up the Caterham Motorsport ladder. The Caterham Roadsport Championship would follow in 2018 where I would finish 6th out of 35 drivers. 2020 was a highly competitive year in the Caterham 270R Championship. A last race crash would drop me from 2nd down to 5th out of 37 drivers.
